Al Shifa Clinic provides a medical and dental clinic. Dental services include: exams, x-rays, preventative care, cleanings, fluoride treatments.
Al Shifa Clinic is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors who oversees the multi-discipline institute that has provided much needed services to the under-served members of the community. A dedicated group of local physicians offer their services on a voluntary basis, with no financial compensation. A small group of paid support staff help in the operation of the clinic on a daily basis.
The clinic founders located a modular building that the County of San Bernardino was about to dismantle. With the help of funds raised from the community and the seed money from the founding members, the 5,000-square-feet modular unit was transported to an acre of land in a poor neighborhood of San Bernardino. The unit was retro-fitted to meet current codes and a parking lot was built around it. The Clinic is approximately 5,000 square feet and includes 16 examination rooms, a medical library, two waiting rooms, two nurses station, conference room, reception suite, and administrative and physicians offices.
