This facility opened in January 1996, and began treating patients in July 2004. They serve people who have Medicaid, Health Choice, or private insurance as well as those who are uninsured or underinsured and cannot afford fees charged by private dentists. On an average, 80% of the population served is children.
As well as providing dental services like cleanings, fluoride varnish, fillings, sealants, extractions, pulpotomies (baby root canals), and primary crowns, pediatric dentists perform full mouth rehabilitation for pediatric patients at Gaston Memorial Hospital, and they sees children and adults of all ages and has evening hours.
