The Dental Clinic impacts the citizens of Cumberland County in a number of areas. Clinical services are provided for children ages birth to 14 years of age. Care is also provided for the inmates at the County Jail. During the school year, dental screenings are done for public school children attending pre-K, kindergarten, second grade, exceptional children, and fifth grade classes. The dental clinic also serves as an externship site for dentist, dental hygienist, and dental assistants. As time permits, oral health education is provided at various sites. The dental clinic staff coordinates and sponsors third grade posters contest during Children’s Dental Health month.
